Dear Friends,

It is a privilege to enter the university world to plant new “seeds” that will one day become great trees. People will ask, “How did they get here?” We have seen over the years how a “good word in season,” or the evidence of the witness of God in our lives has converted hearts to God’s kingdom. By faith, the work for the next school year is beginning to take shape.  By God’s grace these graduate fellowships and faculty prayer partnerships will serve many student generations. We would like you to participate in our vision for this ministry.

Prayer partners: prayers that co-labor with us are deeply appreciated and encourage us in this spiritual fray. To those who can support this ministry financially, we ask that you join us in this vision, if you haven’t already. One is not secular and the other spiritual. They are both forms of investing in the Kingdom of God. Your prayers and your giving must be something more than a benefit to us. It must be good for you and good for the kingdom of God.  Like Esther, we are all asked to participate in God’s work “for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14).

Henri Nouwen said: “Ministering to each other -- each from the riches that he or she possesses -- we work together to build the kingdom of God.” Asking you to partner with us is an integral part of our ministry. In order to help us avoid a year-end deficit, we have enclosed a self-addressed stamped envelop for those of you who are willing and able to help toward the shortfall we are facing.  Thanks. Gifts that reach the InterVarsity office by Friday, July 2nd will be counted for this 2003-2004 fiscal year. If you prefer to give online in a secure way, you can visit gfmse.org and click on staff.

Whether through prayerful or financial participation, understand that

we consider it as a gift from the Lord. If you have any questions, address changes, or would like to

receive e-mail instead of “snail mail,”

please let us know.

May the Lord bless you richly,
